008 - How to Forge bitGANs

UPDATE: Only 24 Forged bitGANs will be made from Flaming bitGANs.
10 are left which will be made as the bitGAN story progresses through 2023.

What an amazing discovery. I would appear that bitGANs can be forged into physical paintings. It took me a while to figure out, but I think we understand what happened now, and am currently experimenting with it. So here is what happened and what we are currently doing with the new found discovery.

Per usual I was minding my own business, when I decided to transfer my skullGAN and roboGAN into the META Gallery for safe storage. But as soon as I did it, I started getting alerts from my cryptoVoxels account telling me a collaborator was changing the gallery.

Collaborators. I didn’t have any collaborators in my CryptoVoxels plot, so I jumped on. Everything was shaking. And even though I was in VR, I could actually feel the shaking. It made me lose my balance and I stumbled and fell to the ground which was glowing red then orange then yellow and finally broke open as three monoliths rose out of it.

Then on two of the monoliths the bitGANs I had just sent into the META Gallery vault appeared. They were dull in appearance then started flickering and soon after particles ignited under them and they caught on fire, and a vox model of my painting robot appeared, and that started flickering, and I know this is a run on sentence, but I am so excited, and explaining this is bringing it all back.

Then the robot started painting. At first the image it was painting was blurry but over the course of three days it came into focus. The robot was painting a bitGAN that appeared to be a combination of my skullGAN and roboGAN. It didn’t seam possible at first but then I started to notice elements of each in the new painting. The new creation had skull socket eyes and teeth that looked like binary code.

Word got out about what was happening and everyone started showing up to see the spectacle. Luckily for them the shaking had stopped. But the burning hadn’t. The two bitGANs continued to smoke as the robot worked away.

Three days and a reported 10,101 strokes later, what emerged was The Cryptographer which immediately minted itself as a SuperRare Token. The most bizarre part about this whole experience is that parallel to the events in cryptovoxels, artonomous, my painting robot was working on it’s own version of the painting which it completed at the exact same time with exactly 10,101 brushstrokes.

Two bitGANS had combined.

But how?

Untitled-1.jpg

This one took a little while to figure out, but thanks to an observation by Grammar Error, the art of namelessname, and a risky move taken by blu30rgy, we think we figured it out.

It began with Grammar Error wondering if perhaps “select bitGANs could be burned/combined with others to create a new bitGAN? to [create] a physical painting?”

Sounded good, but which bitGANs?

Then we noticed that namelessname’s entry into the bitGAN art contest was right above the new monoliths and realized the answer was right in front of us. In the drawing, bitGANs were rising up in smoke, made whole by the flames. We needed FLAMING bitGANs. At least one of the bitGANs had to be Flaming.

We were on to something, but what made them ignite?

We looked into it and realized that lots of people had at least 2 bitGANs in the same wallet, one of which had the Flaming Property, but they were not combining.

That’s when blu3Orgy and I wondered if the META Gallery had anything to do with it. He had a Flaming bitGAN and a nounGAN when he decided to take a risk and donate them to the META Gallery vault. The risk of course is we had no idea what would happen if we tried combining a bitGAN with a nounGAN, but he did it anyway and sent both to the META Gallery Vault.

FOOOOOOMP - or whatever it is that makes that ignition sound happened and as soon as the txn was complete, the nounGAN and Flaming bitGAN appeared on the two monolliths, the pillars ignited, and the voxel robot started painting. We think they are being forged into a new creation with a physical counterpart.

So to kick off this process, we needed to send 2 bitGANs (on of which was FLAMING) to the META Gallery Vault, and if what we have been calling the bitForge is empty, the two will take their place on the pillars, ignite, and combine into a single entity in both the crypto and physical worlds. Don’t believe us.

See for yourself here:

So to sum it up here is everything that is needed to kick the process off and combine 2 bitGANs (or nounGANs) into a SuperRare 1/1 with a physical twin.

HOW TO FORGE 2 bitGANS into a SuperRare Token and Physical Painting

STEP 1: You need a FLAMING bitGAN (in Property or Name).

STEP 2: You need a SECOND bitGAN (or nounGAN).

STEP 3: Check the bitForge HERE to see if it is active.

STEP 4: If bitForge is active, contact me to prep it for the ritualistic burn.

STEP 5: I will then send you the burntGANs wallet address.

STEP 6: You will then need to send both of your bitGANs to the burntGANs wallet address.

To confirm it was sent to the burntGANs - check here: https://opensea.io/burntgans

If all goes well, this should kick off the ritualist burn that creates both a new SuperRare 1/1 Token and physical painting.

Final Step:

When the ritual is complete:

1: A SuperRare Token will be sent to the wallet address that sent the bitGANs to the burntGANs wallet.

2: (Optional) The physical canvas will also be sent to person who submitted the burntGANs.

IMPORTANT NOTE - The 2 burntGANs will remain in the burntGANs wallet. Something about the ritual binds them to the space and I can’t get them out.

What an amazing discovery. We can’t wait to test out how these bitGANs combine with one another!
